Winter Reading Program
The High Plains Library District is here to help you indulge yourself with our 2012 Adult Winter Reading Program. This is your chance to be rewarded for indulging in one of the simplest pastimes- reading! Visit any one of our libraries in Greeley, Erie or Firestone beginning January 2nd, pick up a reading log, and select your print, audio or ebook reading material. We’ll even give you a free book (while supplies last) to get you started. Once you’ve finished three stories and recorded the titles, bring your completed log back to the library and you’ll be entered into our prize drawings. Winners this year will receive a “Winter Care Package”, including a Kindle e-reader, book bag, and High Plains Library District mug. For more information, visit our Winter Reading Guide.

High Plains Library District, in partnership with Xcel Energy, has added 40 portable Watts Up? meters to the collection. These easy to use meters will help you save energy and make green decisions. Watts Up? meters can be reserved for checkout through the High Plains Library District catalog.

Check out the new TV Series to our collection **Season 2 of Cougar Town** **Season 1 of Louie** **Season 5 of Dexter** You are limited to 1 TV series at a time.
Notary Services
The High Plains Library District offers free limited notary public services. The High Plains Library District will be providing 3 common notary functions to the public: Acknowledgements, Oaths and Affirmations, and Certify Copies. Documents must be unsigned and must be accompanied by a valid photo I.D. of the signer(s). The following locations offer limited Notary Service: Carbon Valley Regional Library, Centennial Park, Erie Community Library, Farr Regional Library, Lincoln Park and Platteville Public Library. Notary service hours vary by location, please call for more details.
